AKWC Ashihara Karate World Championships

“If you don’t risk it, you’ll never be defeated but you will never win either!”          

             At the age of 11 I represented Romania for the first time at a World Championship as an “Nicu Dascalu” Academy athlete and I won the bronze medal in the Kata team test and in the Kumite test I qualified in the quarterfinals.            

             At the 2018 Ashihara Karate World Championships, which took place in Aktau, Kazakhstan, I was the youngest athlete in the “Nicu Dascalu” Academy team to win the Kumite World Champion title.            
             3-rd and 7th of November 2021, the national Ashihara Karate team of Romania participated in the World Ashihara Karate Championship which took place in Bucharest and occupied a deserved 1st place in the general ranking by nations even if the participation of the Romanian team was limited to two athletes in the category and the teams of the other nations had no limitations. I am happy that by obtaining the title of World Champion in the Kata team event, I contributed to Romania’s ranking on the 1st place in the world.
